Liftblog just did an article on Yan lifts, and how there are two still running original Yan(ish) gear ...

http://liftblog.com/...20-years-later/

The Iranian lift, at Nazhvan Forest, has indeed been re-engineered with the Pol-X-West grips

The other, in Spain, is running original Yan type-7 grips.

Does anyone have a diagram of how the YAN grip worked and why it was faulty besides the marshmallow springs?

Following the accident earlier this year, the lift will be removed this summer.

Unfortunately this last Yan detachable in Spain had been replaced this year.
The guy who filmed this video travelled from Switzerland to Spain to save a few clamps and sheave batteries... :goofy:
