In the east, there are 6 Yan HSQ's in operation. They are the Superstar Express and Snowshed Express at Killington, the Golden Express and Summit Express at Pico, the Grand Summit Express at Mount Snow, and the Barker Mountain Express at Sunday River. All of these were modified by Poma in the late 90's. In 1997 it was done for all the lifts except the Grand Summit Express which may have actually been done before the Quicksilver accident. Since all of these lifts were modified when ASC was operating them, they chose Poma to do every one of them. The Superstar Express and Barker Mountain Express were further modified in 2004 with Poma Omega chairs. The Grand Summit Express got them in 2011 and they have footrests, unlike all the other lifts. The Snowshed Express, Summit Express, and Golden Express still have the original Yan chairs.
When Poma modified these lifts, they replaced the grips, sheaves, and terminal equipment. The terminals all look like Poma Challenger terminals, but on Yan supports. All the terminals were modified to look like Challenger terminals when the lifts were modified except the Grand Summit Express which did not receive a Challenger glass top until 2011. The original drive, tensioning, and bullwheel were kept as well. Some of the towerheads are Poma towerheads as well.
While the Yan HSQ's in the east were modified by Poma, the ones in the west were mostly modified by Doppelmayr, if not all. They kept the terminals the same, but replaced the grips and sheaves like Poma did.
Does anyone know of any Poma-modified Yan HSQ's in the west, and why each company chose to modify the terminals the way they did.

Below is a list of the ones built North America and what happened to them. I believe there is at least one largely unmodified Yan detachable operating in Spain.

Thanks for the list. What is Pol-X-West?
An engineer from Yan designed a new grip that worked in the same terminal mechanisms.

The chairs don't look like Lift Engineering to me. SkyTrac, perhaps?

Skirail used LE chairs through all their products. They appear to be the standard GMM chairs from that period (http://remontees-mec...rtage-2821.html). The other lifts on the resort are built by REAC which seems to constantly used GMM products.
