Mount Snow ran their bubble lift in winds so bad it damaged the terminal siding. I got to ride it that windy day. Fun fun fun!

I call shenanigans on an operating lift in 200 mile an hour (321 kilometers/hr) winds.
I second that. I know a meteorologist who takes data at Alta, hence why I feel my 70 mentioned earlier was accurate as it came from him. Would it even be possible for a skier to move against that much wind? At that point it doesn't matter what the lift is capable of.

The employees of the Mount Washington Observatory have a tradition called The Century Club where they attempt to walk around the deck of the summit building in 100 mph winds. When the winds approach 200 they stay inside because they go outside they'll never get to make another attempt at the Century Club.
I'm going to guess Wildcat has never operated their lifts in winds anywhere near 200 mph.
