An interesting thing: Last year, mid-season, they opened a terrain park along the old rope tow at the top of chair 1, and managed to restore the old rope tow, which I am pretty sure hadn't been operated since the 90's. The thing was made almost entirely of wood. The old rope tow's tensioning system was completely broken, the haul rope actually dragged along the snow. This season, the rope tow was replaced. It doesn't surprise me, but there were absolutely no plans to replace it. It just spontaneously appeared this summer.

There are also two new runs down chair 1: a green and a blue.

Almost every rope tow I ever rode was like that. Unless you have the perfect profile, the rope will almost always drag on the ground. We used to put bamboo under the rope at Baker to keep the rope from gouging itself a groove into the snow. Now that I'm

Keystone's map for 2013-2014 is a little bit different,

Among a few noticeable differences are two that are in the Outback:
1. Lodgepole, one of the return cat tracks you use to return to the Outback Express lift from trails from Elk Run on south, is now shortened to end at Porcupine rather than cut all the way over to Oh Bob! by the Outback Express lift line.

2. Fox Trot, which followed the path of a service road, is not marked on the map at all.

Elsewhere:
1. The way the trails Bear Tree and Dercum's Dash on Dercum Mountain is different.

2. The fat middle section of Schoolmarm is now the Schoolyard.

3. Beger (located off the River Run trail near the gondola midstation and the Montezuma Express lift), designated a black last year, is now a blue trail.

It appears that this goof is only visible on the online trail map you get at www.breckenridge.com, as they corrected it prior to actually putting it to print. On the printed folding map you can get at any chairlift, Zendo is marked correctly with a solid red line (instead of a dashed line).

They also corrected it for the big directional trail map boards at the top of the chairlifts. For instance, this is a photo of the map board at the top of the Beaver Run SuperChair. As you can see, the Zendo lift's line has been corrected to show a solid red line:

Thanks for posting this. I was about to do the same. He's posting fantastic behind the scenes pictures of how he works. Well worth checking out and liking his page!
