Guys, I am curious: When the River Run Gondola was replaced, what did Keystone do to their underground carrier parking facility? Was it modified to meet the requirements of the new R. Run? Or was a new one built for River Run?

Yes the underground parking was reworked ( all old Von-Roll rails removed / modified and new Doppelmayr equipment installed to accept the new grips / cabins ). And was the last thing finished if I recall.

And it is never done - but it works. The new "compact" feed/park rail is slow to remove a cabin. Just over 3 minutes to pull a cabin off, and that's with Michael J at the helm.

Do they remove the cabins when the gondolas are not in use at Keystone? I have noticed some areas don't on the newer gondolas.

OutPost Gondola gets all of the cabins pulled off in the off-season. River Run Gondola gets a dozen or so pulled off - maintenance dependent.
