Who can identify the ski areas from my recent travels?

I don't actually know the answer to the first one, but I have a pretty good idea which state it's in.

Bonus points if you can identify the plane models .

#1 looks like a ski area in the central/eastern Rocky Mountains...maybe Ski Rio, NM, although that doesn't look quite right either, so it could be Colorado, too. My guess is a Boeing 737, but I can't tell what airline..the colors seem weird.

#2 looks more like Idaho to me, with a ski area rising up from a low valley with high mountains nearby. I think that there is a major two lane, not four lane road in the valley, but that's a little hard to tell.

#3 strikes me at first as California, maybe Northstar's backside. The plane is United/Continental, I would say narrowbody, so either a 737 or a similar Airbus.

The airline in the first photo is Alaska...and thats all I can identify...

That makes sense...I should have known, since I have flown on them before. I'm thinking that these ski areas may all be farther north and west than I originally thought, which is why I don't recognize them as well.

I think Ski Rio is right for number 1, it was pretty early on a flight from Texas to Seattle. And yes silence, it is an Alaska Airlines 737.

2 is not in Idaho but close. It is a north-south 2 lane road that is visible.

3 is not in California. It was taken on the same flight as #2 on a United 757.

#1 has three ski areas in it, ski Rio in the foreground, Red river is right next to the cowling and a little ways above Red River you can see Taos ski valley.

#2 Looks like it could be the failed ski development south of Missoula

Bingo. The top trails abruptly begin at the forest service boundary.

Interesting, that would also explain why there doesn't appear to be any lift line cuts just trail cuts.
