I recently joined the website "TheClymb.com" which focuses on selling outdoor gear from low key to top name brands (Black Diamond, Spyder, Oakley, Marmot) at blowout prices. My guess is that the company (based in Portland, OR) acquires overstock and soon to be obsolete gear and sells it from 30% to 70% below retail prices, just like Grocery Outlet. Most items are only available during a 72 hour window before they are gone for good.

Today, KEEN's line of winter boots made it on the website. I looked at buying a pair of these when working as a lift op, therefore I thought I would bring the special to your attention.

The website is membership based so if you need a link to register, I have provided one below.

They have great stuff, pretty much everything outdoors. Also many resorts have a membership with promotive.com and they also have great deals on a lot of good stuff. I got my beacon, snow study kit etc from BCA for about 1/2 off. Check with your hr type dept. That is who gives us access.

Good to know about promotive.com. At Willamette Pass, we were always looking for affordable ways to get lift ops and ski instructors apparel.

Does anyone else know about any other bargain outdoor apparel websites?

steepandcheep.com is another site similar to theclymb. I find that while theclymb has good deals sometimes, it's generally for equipment in odd sizes. (For example all the skis on sale now are only available in 145 cm. Pretty useless.)
