BRIGHTON, Utah – A snowboarder is dead after a crash at Brighton Ski Resort on Wednesday evening.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal say a skier at the resort spotted a snowboarder wrapped around a tree and notified emergency crews.
Ski patrol brought the 26-year-old man down to the resort’s clinic and tried to revive him, but were unsuccessful.
Police haven’t released the man’s name pending notification of family.

BRIGHTON — A 26-year-old man is dead after police say he crashed into a tree while snowboarding Wednesday at Brighton Ski Resort.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal a skier stumbled upon the man while skiing the Tantamount run. He found the snowboarder him wrapped up around a tree he had apparently crashed into.
he bystander tried to talk to the injured man, as well as perform first aid, Hoyal said. He then called the ski patrol.
Ski patrol officers also worked to revive the man but were unsuccessful in their efforts to save him, Hoyal said.
The man's name has not been released.
