Does anyone know if the towers used on the Shirley Lake Express @ Squaw Valley are from the old Yan gondola?

It appears they could be based on their appearance unless POMA went with beefed up ones due to the lift being located in an avalanche fall zone.

I don’t think Yan used too many (if any) transition style connectors, mostly it was a flat flange connector.
The Yanolda to Poma switch reused the terminal towers and just a few line towers as Poma was trying to avoid holdowns and Yan was trying to keep it low out of most of the wind.
That tower is either new with the 6 place rebuild, was their when it was a 4 place (losing memory) or from the Poma gondola stock.
Notice the ski patrol trying to locating the tower pad.

I have one transition-style connector on my '86 French TSD. However, the second photo shows an old Yan (or Riblet) style ladder on the lower stage.

Towers like that seem to be fairly common on older Poma lifts, especially on higher towers, so I'd say it's fair to assume that probably came from the old HSQ. You can see similar towers on Siberia Express as well as Winter Park's Super Gauge Express which uses towers from a 1985 Poma HSQ.

Most of the towers, and foundations were re-used during the rebuild. The tower that is in the picture was used for the old Poma 4 place chair. As far as I know the towers were original to the quad.
