Anything known about whatever the lift is that Okemo will build next season?

I don't know anything specific about the lifts, other than they're basically real estate access lifts. But here is an article that explains the whole project...

And the plan can be found here (scroll all the way down)....

Anyone with inside knowledge at W-B (Aussierob) know why they chose to only get 8 person cabins instead of 10 on the WVG? Is it a money issue, or would the cabins not fit in the terminals, or perhaps the system isn't truly capable of transporting 10 people in every car?

We never really got 10 per cabin in the old cabins. 8 pax will guarantee capacity and be way more comfortable. Storage room as mentioned may be an issue.

Less than 3 hours after Chair 6 was destroyed by an avalanche, Crystal Mountain has announced they will buld a new lift this summer. Sounds like it will be a Doppelmayr double similar to Northway.

I don't think they said for sure it would be a Doppelmayr, but who knows.

Camden Snow Bowl in Maine is retiring their "Big T-Bar" this weekend. They bought Shawnee Peak's 1984 Riblet triple a few years ago so I guess that means they raised enough money to install it this summer.

Article about the retiring of the T-Bar and summer installation of the Riblet triple at Camden Snow Bowl. Also mentioned is the removal of the Little T-Bar and moving the Hall double to take its place. Sounds like a busy summer for these guys!

Sounds like Sugarbush will be replacing the Valley House Double with a new FGQ. Not sure if it will go in this summer or next as the RFP to lift OEM's is out now. Guess they had quite a few mechanicals this season so the CEO in his letter with season pass sales for next year stressed that lift MX and upgrades were at the top of the off season capital list.

The Cherry Peak triples now have names. Black Wolf down the bottom and Valley View up top. Preliminary map can be seen here...

Stratton, VT has plans to upgrade the Snow Bowl Quad to a high speed lift. Probably will be a 6 pack since that is what all their other high speed lifts are. It won't happen this year, but it is on the upgrade list. They may move the Snow Bowl Quad to replace the Tamarack Triple as well, since the Snow Bowl lift is in far better shape than the triple is. The first part is definitely in their plans, the second part is speculation, but likely to happen.

I'm assuming Doppelmayr but Brian Head isn't anywhere near SLC so it's not a guarantee.

2014 is shaping up to be kind of a slow year for lift building unless things change. By my count we have confirmed 3 Doppelmayr projects, 2 L-P and 2 SkyTrac in addition to 5 confirmed relocations and a few unknowns.

Just a correction to your chart, the Colorado SuperChair is keeping its name, as "Colorado Super6" doesn't look right.

I'm pretty sure the new high-speed quad at Mt. Bachelor is a go for this summer even though of the bad snow year here in the Northwest. More than likely, it would be a Doppelmayr.

Peter, you could add the Woodward Surface Lift (our old Storm King) to the list if you have other relocated lifts. 1985 Poma J-100 detach platter.

I believe L-P is also doing a Pulse sightseeing lift at Royal Gorge Colorado, confirmed

We are 250 miles from SLC.
Yes, it's a Dopp.
