In the 2006 animated movie Hoodwinked!, there is a certain aerial tramway that the main characters use. Of course, I have seen the movie and I know for a fact that there are a lot of things that are plain wrong. For instance, it shows a tramway with a cabin that runs on a single driving cable. I know I have yet to see a tramway in real life (other than a regular Poma/Doppelmayr gondola) that lacks two outside stationary cables for the cabin grip to ride on. Also, there is no second cabin on the cable, and in one scene, the cabin is released through a handle on the cable while it is in motion (when I think that the cabin needs to be in the terminal to be taken off the line, and only for maintenance).
I would wonder if any of you could watch the movie with regards to this aerial tramway and tell me what is realistic about it and what is not. I know I've found a few points of my own, but I think that's not all of them.
