This position provides direction, supervision and leadership to the staff, assuring that the facility operates smoothly and safely at all times; and, that all equipment, buildings and chairlifts are maintained with industry standards to provide a safe work environment and quality experience for the guests.
Responsibilies:
1. Manage physical plant, building and grounds.
2. Manage outside mountain operations.
3. Oversee safety of employees, buildings and ski area.
Minimum Qualifications: A. Ski area experience in outside operations, maintenance, snowmaking and repair of all types of ski area equipment including chairlifts
B. Minimum two year post-secondary degree in Industrial Systems/Mechanical Technology related fields or higher degree
C. Two years supervisory experience that includes effectively giving verbal and written work instructions, directing and mentoring subordinate staff, working with clients and visitors
D. Computer and software knowledge, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel or similar programs
E. Excellent written and oral communication skills
F. Exceptional knowledge of building maintenance, mechanical and design functions
G. Ability to lead people, manage time, and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously
H. Must possess a valid State of MN Class D Driver?s License
I. Self-motivated and able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
J. Possession of Class C boilers license or ability to acquire
K. Ability to lift 50 lbs
