Whole ski lift stolen in Desná

Desna, North Bohemia, May 7 - An unknown thief stole a whole ski lift on a meadow in Desna in April, local police spokeswoman Ludmila Knopova told CTK Monday.
The police are investigating this unusual crime.
The perpetrator took steel supporting structures, three posts with a pulley and a one-kilometre-long wire rope.
The total damage has been put at 200,000 crowns, Knopova said.
Policemen are trying to find out whether the thief has sold parts of the ski lift at some salvage point or whether he plans to operate the ski lift elsewhere.
If found guilty, the perpetrator faces up to five years in prison for a theft.

Must have known what he was doing....and how long he had to accomplish the theft! :ninja:

Sounds like a surface lift.. Probably a poma platter by the single pulley (although that article probably isnt technically correct)..

Although if this is a chair that is quite some effort to steal an entire chair without anyone noticing!
