Bob Smith the inventor of Smith goggles has taken his last run.

Smith is associated with the first goggles that had double lenses, fan control, foam venting and were sized to fit glasses…if you skied in the Pacific Northwest in the early 1970’s this was your second “gotta have” purchase after skis. God speed Bob.

It was the same way in the late 70s. As a kid I had what would be called a 'pro model' now-- the Mahre Bros. 'signature' clear lenses for night skiing. School bus yellow frames and all that. I'm sure they looked cool. Rest in peace, Bob.
