Excellent old JH Tram photo. It looks like there is a Patroller unloading a toboggan (or something) from the tram-car roof. I guess on a busy day that would be the way to recycle them.

Yup, that's how they moved the toboggans when the cabin was hauling skiers. Note the "length" of the skis!

I saved one lift ticket after skiing there a couple of days that first season of Tram Operations. Little did I know I'd end up working there for 25 years!

I have allways wondered something about the Jackson Hole Tram,Do they still use traditional counterweights for the track cables and haul rope or is it hydraulic now?Any pictures would be nice .

I remember I think two decades ago, the cable got off from top of the tram's sheave wheel, hit the tram and cut down to the tram floor. I remember only nine people were killed. I don't remember how many people was in that tram.

The Squaw Tram accident was in 1978. I found this excellent story a couple years ago:

Vons and SuperRat,

Thank you for your information and web address. Excuse me and I am sorry for wrong information. I can't believe I forgot the name and I thought it was Jackson Hole.
