Never seen this happen before. I know Snowbird is planning on staying open through July 4th.
Due to popular demand and a 100 inch base, for the 1st time ever Snowbasin Resort will be re-opening for weekends beginning June 11th and will remain open for as long as snow conditions allow. Skiers and Riders will be able to upload and download on Needles Gondola to access multiple runs off intermediate terrain off of Middle Bowl Triple from 8 am to 2 pm. Snowbasin’s General Manager said, “Maintenance scheduled for Needles Gondola has been recently completed which will allow access to the Middle Bowl Triple. Cool temperatures and a significant amount of late season snow has kept our base over 100 inches deep at mid mountain so it only seems natural for Snowbasin to re-open on weekends.”

Glad to see it re-opening, but a lot of angry 2010/2011 season pass holders because Snowbasin will not honor the passes. Many are threatening to not return for the 2011/2012 season because of this.
Oh really. Talk about sour grapes. They have already got more than their money's worth due to an extended season and when the resort opens for a few days in summer, they demand a freebie?
I have heard of cheap skates, but that is just mean. They should shut up and let the resort make a little extra cash.
By the way, I'm going skiing on Tuesday at a nearby resort with ALL 22 of it's lifts open, but it's winter in this country, so I can go skiing any day I want to for the next 4 months!

Maybe sour grapes and fair to say they got their money's worth, but at the same time how often has it happened that a resort has had a sh** season and people have not got in enough skiing and had to bit it. How often has someone bought an early season pass and then had a car accident or been transferred away on business and not been able to use their pass at all? I had a season's pass at Grouse many years ago and only got in two days skiing. No refund given (or expected) it was just bad luck. Fair is fair both ways.

Many (most?) season passholders buy one every season so for them it doesn't matter whether spring/summer skiing is counted on the previous season or next.

She's closed. The temps in Utah have been high and they've gotten rain which has ruined the snow pack on Middlebowl. It was fun for those 2 weekends they were able to operate! Here's to hoping for another awesome winter for Utah and all the other states out there. Be safe and have a great summer.
