1.Is Ruthie Express @ Apsen Mountain a High Speed Double or a High Speed Triple?

On the map it's down as a HSD but sometimes i see 3 people to a chair.

It is actually a triple chair carrier but Aspen Ski Co operates it as a double - something about trying to preserve the intamacy of two people together without the excess baggage of the third. You must have witnessed a menage-a-trois.

So what should i call it a HST or a HSD?

A HSD, because only two people are allowed on it at a time.

That would explain the chairs that look bigger than your average double chair
