I post this because there are many skiers/snowboarders who get me annoyed very easily:

1. People who stop right where I want to turn.
2. People who aren't able to adknowledge when I want to pass them.
3. The large groups of people congregating at the tops of chairlifts, because it's hard to go through them.
4. Anyone who has to holler out to someone from a chairlift, especially if I am on that same lift in that same chair as them.

What behaviors of other people make you easily irritated/annoyed?

1.People who want to turn right where I want to stop
2.People who pass me so close they need me to acknowledge them being there
3.People that will never get the fact that that all skiers below them have the right of way, no matter what their doing.
4.People who blow their horn when their behind you and the traffic is stopped in front of you for as far as you can see. (I usually back up at this point, makes me laugh.)
5.And lastly, people who buy a four wheel drive thinking it makes the roads not slippery and them drive better.

1. Boarders who sideslip down the whole hill and f@#$ it up for the rest of us.
2. People who make turns on catwalks and roads cutting off the whole trail.
3. People who stop in the middle of the trail.
4. People who stop underneath the landing of jumps.
5. Probably the biggest of all - people who cant load or unload the f%@#ing lift.

I second that.

1. Because they scrape off the good snow and leave a very slippery and smooth icelike surface.
2. People should go straight on a catwalk to prevent people from backing up. I also don't like it when someone cuts me off and nearly forces me off the run or makes me need to make an evasive move.
3. One I mentioned in my original post. I just hate having to make evasive moves.
5. Get people to learn that you can ask a lift attendant if you aren't familiar with loading procedures. That might reduce the amount of stops at lifts like Quicksilver Super6.

Stepping on my stuff in the lift line. Riding my butt doesn't make the lift move any quicker, though it does increase the chances of your goggles having a pole end shaped vent right in the front of them.

LOL, wow you prissy boys wouldn't make it a day in the midwest. About the only thing I can agree upon is when people step on my stuff in line other than that ski code is I'm responsible for the people in front of me.

When they stand up on the top ramp just as it arrives and try to shoot off the chair, instead of waiting for the breakover and unloading properly

People just generally being inconsiderate. I see it with everybody, no matter what's on their feet. Snowboarders' blind sides are easy to avoid if you look ahead. Just keep an eye out for people around you and there won't be any problems.

1. People who ride over my skis and don't even apologize
2. People who take their children on expert trails when they clearly aren't ready for it (usually resulting in people falling on their ass and blocking good mogul lines.)
3. People who don't understand that wide open trails are meant to be skied at extremely fast speeds Posted Image

I could never figure that one out, until I started to ride. If your board is full of snow it can really torque on the knee on the chair ride. But I try to clean my board off before I get to the load area...because I have a clue.

Snowboarders who stop at the first spot right off the chair and block the entire unload area/ beginning of slope area.

I agree that snowboarders who just heel slide down the hill is annoying. On the groomers it is not that big of a deal. However there are times when they will ride off piste and push powder down the hill and digging up ice.

Another thing that I fin annoying are those who insist on having the lift slowed down for them even when they are perfectly capable of getting on and off without it. If you NEED the lift to go slow that is one thing. But every now and then I will see someone who wants slow but then gets on without any trouble. Then everyone else riding has to suffer because one person is scared of full speed.

Maybe a sign is needed that says "If you are perfectly able to get on and off a lift without needing the lift slowed, don't even think about asking a lift attendant." Lifts should only slow for:
A. Wind
B. Mis-unloads at the top
C. Misloads at the bottom
D. Ski patrol carrying a stretcher

And the ice from heel sliding is worst when it happens on a steep hill where you are trying to control your speed or where all people have to go down the same slope (I think of this one at the top of the Rocky Mountain SuperChair).

As a former racer I'd say that if mountains have "slow ski zones" a few runs should be designated Fast Ski Zones as well. Sorry, but FIS legal skis don't just turn, some force is necessary, and anyway people who ski fast but in control aren't the threat, it's those that ski fast out of control or slowly and obliviously. Especially on wide-open runs. BRECK is RIDICULOUS! I understand the viewpoint--it's the busiest resort in CO and also one of the flattest--thus beginner-heavy--but seriously.

People that are incapable of riding a Tbar with someone else. These terminal singles halve your uphill capacity, or double the length of the lift line wait.

I know this is anti social, but just the mere presence of them (skiers and snowboarders) in the winter annoys me . Spring and fall are so tranquil and pleasant without the customers . I know they are needed to provide me with employment .... But I don't have to like it .

I am most annoyed by the inability of young skiers and snowboarders to properly use a belt.
