On 2/26 and 2/27 of 2010 I skied at Snowshoe Mtn. When we arrived, it was snowing, and the wind was blowing 60 mph. Because of this, the next day, 2/26 only two lifts ran at the main ski area of Snowshoe. After lunch, we went over to Silver Creek, which was once a separate ski area, until Snowshoe bought it. All the lifts were running there. The next day, the snow stopped by noon, and the sun actually broke through somewhat. The storm brought about two feet of snow to the ski area, in an already snowy year. There was almost no grooming done either of the nights we spent there, so it was all powder skiing. Even in all the times I have skied in CO, NM, and UT, I never skied in that much powder.

Anyway, the pictures.

Me, my mom, and my sister, at the top of the Powdermonkey Lift.

The entrance to the restaurant we ate at that night. It was supposed to be inside, 60 mph winds really do a trick on doors.
