I received a copy of Artur Doppelmayr's Conceptual Inputs book from the Arvada/Golden Doppelmayr office when they were still here in town. I let my ex-boss, an avid skier, borrow it. Big mistake. When he left he never returned my book to me.

I wrote to Randy Woolwine at the office and said they were out.

Does anyone know where to get another copy of this? I could write/call their HQ in Europe, I suppose.

Thanks!

My understanding is that this book is difficult to find. I have a copy and wanted a second and my emails to the HQ in Europe were greeting with a "No longer in print" message. If you do succeed, let me know how you did got it.

That is not good news. Now I want to track down my ex-boss and demand it back!

It's a doctoral thesis on Ski Lift design with the "conceptual inputs" taken from incidents. Very interesting read and at a level most of us mortals can understand.

As a thesis, it should be available from the university. Give me a year, university and more info and I will see if it is possible.

Well teachme, it's probably be rewritten thesis made comprehensible for "mortals" and in English rather than German.

Any translated book will be in the national library of the country the translation is published in. So it may be in your Library of Congress AND probably a few academic libraries too. But you won't be able to borrow it.

Thanks, Andy, PMed you back. Dopp HQ emailed me back. No copies there, either. Who wants to track down my old boss to get my book back? I'll let you borrow it after I read it again!
