Yikes, I hope they have good insurance. This sort of thing is a major deal to a small area like Powderhorn.

BIG POWDERHORN IS BACK IN BUSINESS AFTER FIRE
SAM Magazine--Bessemer, Mich., Jan. 17, 2011--In the wake of a fire that destroyed the main lodge at Big Powderhorn last Thursday, the resort has relocated all business, including ticket sales and gear rentals, to the Caribou Lodge at the area. The area was back in operation less than 24 hours after the fire, in fact.
While the fire destroyed 10 guest rooms in the lodge, the area was able to accommodate all guests through the resort lodging association.
Big Powderhorn plans to operate out of the Caribou Lodge for the rest of the season, and rebuild next summer.
