Le Massif Ski Resort in Quebec, Canada is doing a $5 million expansion this summer and replacing a fixed-grip double with a new high-speed detachable quad.

There isn't that much stuff happening, basically just replacing a lift and cutting a few new trails. You have to remember the trees they have over in Eastern Canada arn't like the trees we have here on the West Coast. I guess you could say the brush looks like the stuff at Park City Mountain Resort.

But I think I read in SAM that Le Massif is having some financial problems, so this investment could hurt them.

The lift that is being replaced is a 1992 Dopp 2-CLF with (at least!) 15 minutes lines on weekends so it really needs to be replaced.

It's only 6 new trails...not too much to cut.
Can we expect another Doppelmayr lift?

Probably (I hope, Leitner-Pomas are soooo ugly!).

The last chairlift they installed (in 2002) was a Dopp.
