Avalanche Claims Life Of Wolf Creek Ski Area Staff Member

Reports are coming in that a Wolf Creek Ski Area staff member was killed this morning in an avalanche. The area has received 18″ of snow in the past 48 hours and is currently under a blizzard warning, with possible storm totals up to 3 feet. More information as it becomes available.

From the resort’s snow report:

Wolf Creek Ski Area will closed today, November 22nd, due to the fatality of a staff member. Lifts will begin operating tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.

Condolences to those guys. I don't blame them for shutting down today.
