Surely someone out there has a rough idea of how many Ropeways are currently in North America. If anyone knows please provide the #. (If you only have data for the USA that is ok)

Is there an almost complete listing somewhere? I know skilifts.org has quite a few resorts listed, but there are lots of North American areas that don't even have existing lifts covered, and former lifts are even more neglected.

If there's somewhere that's well laid out, authoritative and almost complete, I'd be happy to move my complete list of all 400 Australian ski lifts to that site as well as the list of 300 New Zealand lifts I'm working on.

Despite the formatting being a bit rough, the Australian site has 20,000 hits, so someone must be looking at it.
