Still alive. I've been busy burning myself and my truck with a mig welder. No more rot holes, it runs and drives, and drives like a tank I should say.

For example: drove it to my friend's house last weekend, it's a 87 f150 with a 351 and a C6 automatic 3 speed. Well, going up a very long hill on route 28, it was in 2nd. gear, doing 50-ish, at about 3600 rpm with my foot only 1/4 inch down on the gas... then it kicked up to 3rd.

going down the hill to a stoplight, it started downshifting as I slowed... mmmm engine braking on an automatic! This is its first beat run in about 3 years. I love this truck. but that's where I've been these past 4 or so months....and that's probably where I'll be for the next 4...

I've been in an out a lot for the past few months (since school started). I've been really busy and have had little time to post on sites. I had to completely upload my site again, to a new server. There are pages that are still not on because I have not had time to check each page to check functionality. I'll get to it soon.

I am again this year participating in Keystone's 36 Hour competition. I start in a few hours and will be gone until tomorrow night at about 10PM. I'm going for the marathon again and skiing the whole time. Talk to everyone again on Saturday night!

I will be going on my Colorado trip starting tomorrow and I will be returning late January 13th. I'm not sure if I'll have an opportunity to use the internet while at Breck, but I will try if I can. I may even see John while I'm out there.

He did, unfortunately I wasn't able to visit as I had several cranky four-year-olds at the time. Sorry, Jon.

I understood completely that you couldn't ski with me. I pretty much stayed off of the blacks anyway, I wanted there to be something left of my legs after the last 5 days of skiing at Breck. I did get to hit some stuff under the Super Bee and Alpine lifts.

Going "away" for a while. First real group of vacation days I've taken since 1992.

Bye

Well, I guess its my turn to post an entry...

Yes the founder will be away on vacation... keep the partying down to a dull roar and try not to break anything in my absence.

But anyhow, I will gone to Europe for the next 2 weeks (leaving on Saturday), I will be spending a week in Paris, France and a week in London, England.

But don't get purloined in the experience. I suspect from previous posts that you tend to be enthusiastically "pro-European." Be careful of that. These are dangerous times. Don't come back queer!

I'm shipping off tommorrow for the Land down under. I think only now is it really starting to dawn on me just how far it is. Anyhow, i'll be gone for a month so i'll probably have to spend a day reading up on all the topics i've missed. Hopefully if i get up to Thredbo i will manage to grab some pictures of the lifts as well as the Sky cab in Cairns. So have a good rest of your summer everyone and i shall be in touch.

I'm heading back home tomorrow and have been on Catalina Island, CA for this past week on a family reunion vacation. I had a lot of fun but it was really hot and the unit(s) we were staying in had no air conditioning.

Don't goto England quite yet. Domestically you wont be able to carry water or anything liquid, or toothpaste, shampoo, etc.

Wasn't too bad from Chicago to Seattle today.

However, London to Chicago was a rough one...
