Fortress Mountain Not To Open For 2004-2005 Season

I received in my email this morning a press release from Resorts of the Canadian Rockies that the company has decided that it will not be opening Fortress Mountain (about 70 minutes west of Calgary in Kananaskis Country) for the 2004-2005 season. Cited reasons included increased operating costs for the aging lift infrastructure and the expense in keeping the access road open. The release said a one-year breather will be taken while options are considered. Unfortunately, I accidently tossed the message out after reading it but I expect that it will be available on RCR's web site (www.skircr.com) by monday.
