Palmer Express at Timberline

I was looking at the pictures of Palmer Express from this site and noticed that the line goes over the mid-station in all of the pictures. Here is an example:

However, I know for a fact that the mid station is used during the summer.

Does Timberline actually put the terminal into service every summer and then take it out of service every winter?

How does that work? Do they have to lower the lift line and attach it to the mid-load station?
