I'm looking to take my first trip to BC and it's between Kicking Horse, Whistler and Revelstoke.
Revelstoke looks very intriguing since it's a shiny new resort with lots of snow and insane vertical. Curious if anyone has skied there and their impressions on the area? I havn't heard too many bad things about it outside of nightlife and location, but that's the last thing I'm concerned about.

I skied there for a day this spring. They were hurting for snow at lower elevations, so the only thing open was the two high speed quads at the top. At the "village" and gondola mid-station, there was just dirt and mud. I'm not sure they were open to the bottom at all this season. The terrain up top is very nice and there was plenty of snow there. After coming from Lake Louise and Sunshine Village, it seemed small. The resort is really at its embryonic stages, with very few services, lodging, etc. You have to go down the gondola to get lunch even. It is definitely worth hitting but you should think about visiting as part of a multi-resort trip. There are tons of resorts in the area if you're willing to drive - Kicking Horse, Big White, Silver Star, Panorama, Sun Peaks to name a few.

I was there for a day last year mid-winter. Everyone on the trip loved the place. Of course having the best snow day of the trip didn't hurt. One thing of note, I don't think I've ever seen so many deep tree wells. Mostly in the woods around the upper quad on the left. Might have do to the acre/skier ratio. Not that many people around to knock the snow into the wells. We only skied the one day, but could have easily been entertained there for quite a bit longer. I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you have a day anything like we did.
