If you do decide to try to run the old lift in order to get the chairs off, please have someone shooting some video and take some photos, would love to see that old gal start up for one last time.

One other thing to consider-- it you are removing every chair, it's possible you'll run out of carriage travel as you lighten the line. We hit that pulling chairs off one of our lifts for MRT this year. If you're just jerry-rigging it to run with no safeties, you won't have to worry about the carriage limit, but the possibility exists of the rope slipping on the bullwheel when you go for a start.

I am very familiar with all the lifts at Sugarloaf. Are all the lifts going? The triple chair was installed in 1990, would think they would keep that one. There is also one other lift that would be very marketable on the used market.
