Skier dies at Park City

PARK CITY -- A Wyoming man died when he hit a tree while skiing at Park City on Friday.

The Deseret News reports 28-year-old Joshua Archambault, from Evanston, Wyo., was skiing the Sunrise Run at Park City Mountain Resort Friday afternoon.

His friends told police he appeared to lose control, went off the groomed trail and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

PARK CITY — A 28-year-old Wyoming man died after hitting a tree while skiing Friday.

Joshua Archambault, from Evanston, Wyo., was skiing at Park City Mountain Resort on the Sunrise run about 2:50 p.m. when friends say he appeared to lose control, went off the groomed trail and hit a tree, said Park City Police Capt. Phil Kirk.

Archambault was wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
