The forums have been pretty slow lately, especially since the 09.10 ski season is coming to an end and very few resorts have plans of adding anything new for next year.

However, since master plans are predictions of what's to come, I figured this would be an enjoyable thread as we haven't had a thread like this for quite some time.

The Master Plans

Here's an old future lift diagram from The Canyons. Only three of the orange lifts were built, and one of the yellow ones was removed to build an orange one. None of the proposed lifts ended up being detachables as promised, and the Cabriolet, which was originally envisioned as an elaborate two-stage suspended monorail, ended up being a standard CTEC gondola. The other one is only a pulse gondola. Maybe someday they'll build the rest and upgrade the parts they already built

How about another tramway for "the bird" from the top of Hidden Peak to the East Twin giving access to Mary Ellens and everything from the Summit of American Fork Twin Peaks . This addition would also require another lift to be installed in Mary Ellens back to Sinners Pass so skiers could return to a Mineral Basin Express that would have to be extended an additional 1000 ft. to catch the returning traffic. :w00t:
