Well, I wouldn't say that this is all true. Resorts switch lift companies all the time, depending on price, the type of lift, and owner of the resort. For example, Brighton has a few Garaventa CTEC lifts and a Doppelmayr, so that would cancel out that Riblet was the only lift manufacturer that Brighton bought from. Solitude has that Von Roll/CTEC HSQ and Snowbird has that Garaventa Tram that Doppelmayr could have built instead. So price and the type of lift play a significant roll.

Killington had all YAN, some of which were replaced/upgraded by Poma.

Okemo has all Poma I think.

Copper:
1972- 5 Heron lifts
1973-79- 5 Yan lifts
1981- 2 Poma lifts
1982-84- 3 Yan lifts
1985-89- 4 Poma lifts
1994- 1 Doppelmayr lift
1998- 2 Poma lifts

This does not count smaller surface lifts such as handle tows and carpets. Note that except for Doppelmayr, construction ran in spates of at least two lifts per manufacturer. This is typical of many ski areas. Another exmple:

Crystal Mountain
1962-64- 4 Riblets
1970- 1 SLI
1974- 1 Thiokol
1978- 1 used Hall
1983- 2 CTECs
1988 2 Pomas
1997-2000- 3 Doppelmayrs

Alright Cameron you're correct on Brighton that they didn't exactly stick to Riblet all the way (they wanted high speed lifts which Riblet never offered) but earlier Brighton was all Riblet and Snowbird except for the Tram is all Doplamayer CTEC so in my book they kept with what they had a lot of except when that company couldn't deliever for them.

Brighton even has a Yan center pole, the Millecent chair. Snowbird also has a ctec double and ctec hs quad. Alta used to have 2 or 3 Heron lifts.

Killington is by no means an all Yan mountain. It was originally an all poma mountain. The first non-poma lift there was the carlevaro-savio gondola in 1969. It still has 2 old heron pomas. Killingotn's lifts are all listed with manufaturers on the locations section of my site.

Sugarbowl also has a Heron-Poma and I believe the Hall double you speak of is an old Heron double modified with Hall chairs.

Park City had a PHB Hall gondola.

One reason a resort may look to purchase some of the same lifts is for easier basic spare part stock.

this makes sence because when bradford got the new partek triple they also got a bunch of new backrests on their other borvig chairs, that replaced some of the breaking ones

The Snowbird tram is a Garaventa lift, so I guess that could count as part of Doppelmayr/CTEC now

DV was all Yan until 1993, and since then they've only built CTEC
Park City had 2 SLI doubles, one of which is still there

I think PCMR had another double called Prospector next to the Lost Prospector triple. They are on a 1984 trail map. They also had the Hall gondola, I forgot about that
But since the 80s, they've had all CTEC lifts (Eagle, Eaglet, Town, Pioneer, First Time, the 4 HSSs, King Con)

Here is what I can remember from PCMR, in order of construction:

Gondola: 4-Pass (PBH)
Payday: Double (SLI?)
Lost Prospector: Double (??)
J-Bar: (??)
Three Kings: Double (SLI)
Crescent (AKA Track One): Double (SLI)
First Time: Double (SLI)
Prospector: Double (Yan)
Thaynes: Double (Yan)
Ski Team (AKA Victoria Station): Double (Yan)
Jupiter: Double (Yan)
King Consolidated: Triple (Thiokol)
Payday: Triple (Yan)
Motherlode: Triple (Yan)
Pioneer: Triple (CTEC)
Town: Triple (CTEC)
Prospector Express: HSQ (Yan)
Crescent: Quad (Yan)
King Consolidated: HSQ (CTEC/Garaventa)
Silverload: 6-Pack (CTEC/Garaventa)
Eagle: Triple (CTEC/Garaventa)
Eaglet (Still there BTW): Triple (CTEC/Garaventa)
Payday: 6-Pack (CTEC/Garaventa)
Bonanza: 6-Pack (CTEC/Garaventa)
McConkeys: 6-Pack (CTEC/Garaventa)

So, PCMR was once loyal to SLI in the 60's (Treasure Mt era), then liked Yan in the 70s & 80s (Badami era), and finally switched to CTEC/Garaventa in the 90s and beyond (Cummins era). I suspect that they will continue to use CTEC/Garaventa due to common parts and close location to the NA headquarters.
