With what you have said about homewood, are you being sarcastic?
I would be rather concerned about the proper maintenence of the lift from what you have said.

As far as other projects, no word on the new double at squaw, maybe I should write them. No word as well on the new 6-pack up at heavenly, but they have probably already gotten rid of the old triples. Anyone know if they are cutting a new line for that one? Homewood has yet to reply to both me and cameron's emails, and other then that, nothing is really going on in tahoe. At Mammoth, I'm not sure on the progress, but they just put out the press release on the new lift. Hopefully they, or someone over on the mammoth forums can get some pictures of the construction. T

I went to Northstar for some mountain biking, and I definitely see some problems with their village. The construction seems to go right up to the Gondola (the big open area near the plaza below that newer building where the rentals are is now torn up). I don't see where they are going to put the line for the Gondola. It seems as though the only way it can go is down the stairs through the heart of the village instead of to the side like it used to. Looks as though I will be skiing a lot more of Squaw and Alpine (never been to Alpine before) next year. Though who knows, that project in the Martis Valley may ruin everything in the Tahoe Basin.

If you are going to alpine, its a pretty fun mountain. There are a lot of runs you can hike to for better snow, and they have some very interesting lines. THe trail map surley doesnt portray the mountain very well.
