I rode the BreckConnect for the first time last Saturday. Not as a skiier or boarder but as a lift enthusiast. I stopped at the mid-stations and checked out what I could.

I figured out it's a single-rope, single-drive system, but am not familar on how the bullwheels/sheaves are situated.

I DID see a bullwheel/sheave on each angle station, on the inside corner of the terminal roof. Pic: http://good-times.we...064685427tVOPpG They stick out of the structure a bit and rotate in the opposite direction of that side's cable direction. Uphill is on the right side, the wheel is sticking out of the downhill side.

Oops, forgot to edit this. My question is does anyone know, or have a diagram of how the sheaves are situated? I drew out a couple of possibilities but am not sure. One possibility uses six sheaves, one uses five sheaves. I'll see what else I can come up with.

I emailed Leitner-Poma but they have not responded.

There are more of the BreckConnect and others on my chairlift photopage.

Well, Leitner-Poma emailed me back today. They were kind enough to attach some installation photos. That pretty much answered my question and it looks like the bullwheels are not arranged how I envisioned. They are arranged in a much simpler, easier design! That's what I get for over-imagining!

Oh yeah, Leitner-Poma will give me a factory tour when I'm in the Grand Junction area. I live a few hours away.

Here are some pics!
