Solitude is asking the Forest Service for permission to expand into Silver Fork and allow lift served skiing. This would expand Solitude by 695 acres, although Silver Fork is prime backcountry if done responsibly this could be a good thing for Utah skiing. I can not see them going about it any other way than bringing all sides too an agreement, compromise a must when in a watershed. Silver Fork has some fantastic terrain and this would be a great deal for Solitude it would move this little gem up a notch. What's good for the goose is good for the gander... .
