Does anyone recognize this lift? Where is it located?

Looks like it is a detachable double. Is it in the U.S.?

If it has vertical, put a lift up it.

Just thought it was interesting being a double and being detachable.

Don't recognise it, but there are a few in Europe. Mostly retrofits by Leitner. For example, the Engstlenalp chair above Engelberg in Switzerland - a former Habegger fixed grip, retrofitted by Leitner. There are some pics on seilbahnbilder's website.

I don't think this is correct. At least in Switzerland most of the modern 2-CLDs were built by Garaventa.

I'm pretty sure that the only detachable double in the US is Ruthie's at Aspen, which is made by Poma. Alta also has a high speed triple made by Garaventa CTEC.

I remember seeing a video on YouTube with a Doppelmayr high speed double somewhere in Europe. I think the carriers looked slightly different though.

Ruthie's is a triple from a technical standpoint. They just choose to use as a double.

Even though it is marked as a double, they will allow riders to ride three to a chair. I have done it many times.

This is true 100%. On busy days they do load it 3 to a chair. Otherwise it's however the people riding want to load. (2-3)

Isn't there a handle on the restraining bar near the middle of the chair? I would think that might cause some problems for the person in the middle.
