News is coming in that Nic Fiore, the long time ski school director at Badger Pass has passed away at age 89. I don't have much info, but I do know that he had been in the hospital. He left us at about 2:30 pm Pacific time today. If any of you knew him, you know what a loss this is, he was truly a legend in his own time. A true character in the best definition of the term. He dedicated 55 years to teaching folks how to get down our mountain before he retired in 2005!

:crying: Rest in Peace, Nic! You will be forever missed!

A Yosemite legend is gone but his spirit will live on forever.
