Sometimes it seems to me that if resorts can't expand thier terrain they make a bigger lodge.

The new lift for terrain expansion is next year :) It would have been this year, but the new ownership just took place and we wouldn't have time to survey the area, clear it, and build the lift. We have literally thousands of hectares we can expand onto.

You got bought by an American- any hard feelings around town? There was a bit of that in '97 when Intrawest bought Copper.

There's people that are against the sale... these are the same people that were against the old owners... you know the ones - they're never happy. Personally I'm quite happy about the sale, maybe we can afford some improvements!

Cash is always good. Maybe you can send some our way? Hopefully the new owners work out for the hill- you'll have to keep us posted. I've got some friends on the patrol who like to ski Red (and Fernie, and other southern interior areas) and they hope you guys don't turn into a destination.

Very spiffy  Were your old radios bad, or did you get a new system altogether? If I were a betting man (having no money cures that, fortunately) I'd guess that you got Motorolas- am I right?

We had older Motorolas that were passed on to the brush crew, then lift operations. Yes we got new Motorola HT750's. Motorola seems to be the industry standard! One of our 750s got ran over by a loader... and still works!
