Took a trip up to mammoth for memorial day... what a great time! Tons of snow, great weather, and good memories.

On the way up, we stopped in Yosemite valley to check out the waterfalls, and then over tioga pass:

It actually started snowing on us over the pass!

And finally skiing!

Mammoth stays open this year until June 14th, so maybe I'll have to go back up if I need another fix of skiing!

Ski Santa Cruz,
Thanks for sharing those photos. I skied Mammoth on Memorial Day also...1968!
I was also involved in the installation of chair 23 including the "Tunnel Thing". I'll have to dig into my photo archives - I believe Rusty Gregory, now Mammoth CEO ran the crane that set the Tunnel.
Thanks again-
Dino

Chair 23 is one of my all time favorite chairs. I love the top station! I feel like I'm going into a space terminal or something fun like that. Not to mention the skiing is awesome!

Looks like Mammoth put new logos on the Gondi.

Nice photo's Ski Santa Cruz. Hopefully I will be able to take my annual trip their this year. You are lucky that Tioga pass was actually open, a few years ago it didn't open up until late June. I hope you stopped at the Mobil Mart In Lee Vining for some good food.

We did stop there... you're one of many people who have talked about how good that place is!

I don't think it was designed as just an M, it looks like they were going for a Woolly Mammoth shape to me...

It's on the Village Gondola as well.

You're right, I shouldn't have said it's just an M... nevertheless, I did like the old one better:
