When I looked at the pictures of the Timberline Express, the sole Doppelmayr high speed quad at Copper Mountain, I always thought that the terminals were currently all black, but looking at the most recent dated photos I can find of the terminals, I might have been mistaken. Was I?Posted Image

My guess is that it was probably in the process of being repainted there.

The terminals were all black at some point in the past. The upper portions faded significantly, and looked grey, so when we repainted it a few years ago we decided to keep it that way. The upper portions are grey, while the masts and lower skirt are black.

Oh. So that's why I thought the terminals were all black during my first ever trips to Copper (in January and February 2007). Of course, the American Flyer and American Eagle copper-orange terminals looked just like what the forums mention, although the maroon paint looked nice on them as well. Hopefully Excelerator and Super Bee aren't repainted soon, the green paint looks nice. Not like these are some of the most colorful high speed terminals to find: the black of the Timberline Express, the orange of the American Eagle and American Flyer, and green of Excelerator and Super Bee.
