Here are pictures of my discovery. Lift B was a Riblet double chairlift, running from the old Quicksilver Quad upper terminal to where the top of the Mercury SuperChair is today. Of course, the lift line still exists so Lift B ended a little ways to the right of where the current lift ends. So, true to the story, the Mercury SuperChair replaced Lift B.
Now, here are pictures:

Overview of Peak 9 and Peak 10. Look for the upper terminal of the Quicksilver Quad. Now, look on the run Cashier for a narrow ribbon off of it, and you have found the lift line.

A close up of the top of Peak 9. Notice how Lift B would have crossed under the Mercury SuperChair near tower 18 if it still existed. (Locate the Beaver Run SuperChair upper terminal, then move over to the Mercury SuperChair lift line and find where Lift B's lift line meets it)

I have no wantings to telling you that that little structure between the Mercury SuperChair and the Peak 9 Patrol Hut is Lift B's upper stations. You can also see the Mercury SuperChair lift line, with Lift B's going off to the upper right.
Since it might be a good idea to show this area in reality, I've gotten some of wpmjskierdude (skierdude9450)'s pictures to show where the Mercury SuperChair would have crossed Lift B if Lift B weren't removed:
The approximate location is tower 18:

Here is tower 18. That narrow ribbon is Lift B's lift line. Based upon location, and the height of the lift tower, it would have been possible to run the Mercury SuperChair over Lift B.

You can't tell Lift B's lift line out until you are at tower 18. Between towers 17 and 18 here.

Lift B on the right, here we are between towers 18 and 19.

Imagine if the trees on the right didn't exist. You would find the upper terminal.
Sadly, no evidence is left like a memorial to tell people of the Mercury SuperChair predecessor. You are left with just a patrol hut and:

Look in the next post for old Lift 1.
