The former Lookout Express lift at Northstar at Tahoe, which was built in 2000 by Garaventa CTEC was lengthened by more than 2,000 feet this past summer. Did this necessitate a new, larger drive? Were both original terminals kept or was 1 or both replaced with the Uni-G or Uni-GS? I know that the new towers and towerheads are the current standard Doppelmayr CTEC ones, but do they have Doppelmayr sheaves? That would mean some towers have Garaventa CTEC and some have Doppelmayr unless the old sheaves were replaced too. Finally was Doppelmayr CTEC able to provide more of the same chairs even though the design that was on the old lift has not been used since the merger?
Anyone have any pictures of this new/old lift?

Only the bottom terminal was moved. The line has both CTEC and Dopp sheaves. The lift was originally designed with this extension in mind, so none of the drive equipment needed upgrading. The new chairs are identical to the old.
one change: the line now has a .9 degree turn in it. The assemblies on one depression tower are angled about 5 degrees out of vertical. We had to do this to avoid a wetland area.
