Ski Sunlight, south of Glenwood Springs, and Powderhorn, southeast of Grand Junction, are both closing today. The article in the Summit Daily quoted Sunlight's mountain manager as saying that 'Mother Nature is telling us to close.' Powderhorn was not discussed, although temps out in western CO have reached the 70s lately.
Of course, they made that announcement on Friday. Today (Sunday) it has been snowing for 24 hours and the temps haven't yet gotten above freezing...

Sounds like they decided a little too early...
It was really warm when I was there, and one of my friends who went to Keystone the week after I was in CO said it got up into the 60s on a few days. The snow was melting off pretty fast

We are at a brisk 55-65 in tahoe right now. In the last 3 weeks we have lost around 30 inches at all the majpr resorts. Kinda sucks, hopefully we can get another big storm
also, diamond peak is closing next sunday, dodge and bear probably the next week and most everyone but squaw and alpine 2 weeks later. Pray for snow!

Willamette Pass is staying open as long as they have snow. They are putting the gondola cabins on the six-pack and today started sight seeing. So there will be skiers and hikers riding the gondola up. Not sure if the other lifts will stay open. But hey, lift tickets are like $15 a day now.

We've gotten about 10" in the last two days, half of which is good old Cascade Concrete. That should help us stay open until our projected closing date of 18 April. We have closed A, A-1, and 4 though, due to poor conditions. (I think we should have kept A open- looks great- but that's not really my decision. At least we have a private run back to the shop now B) )

Do you mean there will be some six pack chairs on the line with the gondola cabins, or am I missing the point here?
