I hope that's not your doctor in the first picture. He seems a little reserved.

That's my mother. I will be GLAD when all this crap's over and I can get back on the road!! Bad enough I can't even hit the slopes! Was looking forward to packing my board on the truck this year! :crying:

Nice pics & nice scars !! I'm not a meteorologist but start PT as soon as possible & go as often as possible. Ask your doc about a bone growth stimulator. I think you got me beat with your hardware. Got any x-rays ?
Good luck with your healing & you'll be truckin again soon !!

 I'll try and get pics of the x-rays if possible. They've got me on lots of calcium. The plate is about 3" long and it's on the outside of the leg. I'm in the process of changing docs, as mine is closing his practice. Thank God this is covered by workers comp!

Well I went to the doctor today. Got the cast off and I have a boot that I can take off and put on. I'm also able to put some weight on it now and 'graduated' from a wheelchair to crutches. Now it's time for PT (ouch). And I'm able to return to work on light duty. Looks like I'll be able to drive a truck by mid-late April

Eagle - let me know when you'll be at the TA. It's just down the block (like everything else in Parowan).

I will! I'll PM you with my cell # once I get back on the road, since I'm not always able to get online.

If all keeps going the way it has been with my rehab, looks like I'll be back in a truck by the end of April

YeahI figured there wasn't much in Parowan from what I've seen from the highway!

Stick with the PT. Progress may seem slow on a daily basis but I know that things can change after time.

I've been going to an acupuncturist and get great results ? Worker's comp in Cali might cover it as long as you visit a person who can bill them ?

Did you look into a bone growth stimulator ? You might not need one if your bones are healing quickly on their own ?

Take Care and have faith that you will be able to do whatever you want, someday ... :w00t:

Thanks Mike! At my last dr's visit they said the bones are healing nicely. And the doc at the hospital in Oregon the night I got hurt said my bones were in excellent shape and should heal quickly.

I have PT three days a week for six weeks, and it has been responding very well to the rehab I've been doing on my own.
