And can't get up

This is serious every one.
She called me 30 min. ago from the hospital in Ontario, OR
She says she was walking in a slick Walmart Parking lot, slipped on a icy manhole cover fell, and broke her leg.
She was on her way to Salt Lake to unload, and now she has no idea how to get home. Her night dispatch is running around in cirlce not really giving her any good answer on how she is going to get home to Califorina, not to mentioned all her stuff in her truck.

Eagle Ace get well soon.

The best thing she can do is sue the fuck out of walmart !!!! That's the american way. White trash lotto !!!! She lucky it happened on somebody else's property & there's a "third party" potentially involved. Hire some ambulance chaser and suck them dry !!!!! Sound like she needs to get in touch with a friendly fellow driver. I imagine she can ride in the passenger seat.

Slipping on ice is not a good way to be injured. Not that there are any good kinds of injuries though. Hope you heal up well eagleace.

Her company is lame.
Another driver i know that works for the same company, has been brok edown in Denver for 4 days, truck in the shop. They could fly him to Ontario, get her truck, and take it back to thier nearst yrd.
But no, they are making him stay put till his is out of the shop.
I have the # where she can be reached.. PM if you would like it.

Broke my leg on an ice patch on our old shop floor 3 days before Christmas in 1990. That was the last Christmas day I had off.
Heal well, and fast EA, and have a good Christmas, it's all about family.

Sounds like you've made it to a safe haven. Good Luck with your recuperation.

Is your fellow driver still stuck in Denver? PM me and I'll go buy him lunch.

for a few months it will. When I'm able to drive again the company will have to give me a road test.

In the spirit of mjturley34 posting his "battle scar" pics, here's mine after I got the 1st cast taken off:

 yeah I know my leg looks like that of a fur-bearing mammal, but had I shaved before the cast was put on I would be MISERABLE and driven even more insane by the ITCHING!

as for hardware I've got a 3" plate and a dozen screws in it. I'm supposed to get a walking cast the end of February. I'll probably have that for a month and then the FUN part- PT- begins! :wacko2: also known as Pain & Torture!!

Nice pics & nice scars !! I'm not a meteorologist but start PT as soon as possible & go as often as possible. Ask your doc about a bone growth stimulator. I think you got me beat with your hardware. Got any x-rays ?
Good luck with your healing & you'll be truckin again soon !!

I hope that's not your doctor in the first picture. He seems a little reserved.
