Many of these were installed at a ski area in the mid to late seventies.

Yeah I saw one in star wars it's a R2 unit. However, I do have a picture of a real orgasmatron on my computer somewhere if you'd like to see her, I mean it.

That would be my guess too. Keystone has a bunch of those things, just not as big.

True story, my 1st or second season I was helping a girl (college age) out of the melt hole that an "orgasmatron" was sitting in and she said "I guess I was drawn to it, it is kind of phallic". BY the way there are very few left in that resorts boneyard. if you need one for your yard. Maybe a dog house?

I'd LOVE to have one! In fact, I'd trade it for a service visit.
It would work better than my Buddha statue for keeping missionaries away from my door. They'd use it, of course, and then be too embarrassed to ring the bell.
Nothing quite so satisfying as faking out a faker.

It's been long enough, I guess.
It's a protective cover for an early stationary water/air gun. Snow Valley was covered with them at one time.
The system was installed in the late seventies - used six Centac 11 compressors (3000 hp each). You could see the lights in San Bernardino dim when the compressors were started.
These things are about the size of a telephone booth and always looked like Woody Allen's orgasmatron to me. I have no doubt that some were used for just such a purpose.

Now if I could only find an orb...

Great News!

<cjb> at Snow Valley and I struck a deal. He'll be sending me an orgasmatron - for my own personal use - when the snow melts! Chuck: since this thing is used, please hose it off before shipping.

I can't wait...
