I have information that Murray Latta rope grips have small projections inside them to assist in meeting resistance to sliding requirements. Can anyone confirm that & if so does anyone have photos of the projections, history of their effectiveness or any problems etc

I can confirm this. I have no photos, but the inside of the grip is cast to conform to the strands and valleys of the rope. I worked on two, and talked to others who worked on the same grips, and I don't recall any issues with those grips other than the standard long-term wear problems you'd find on any other type.

Thank you John H.
Now that we have made contact, do you know of any recent instances in CO (say, within the last 10 years) when spring applied grips have slipped & caused chairs or gondolas to collide?
