Thursday is opening day of the NHL regular season. If you're not a Colorado Avalanche fan I'd love to punch you in the back of the head, but my schedule is kinda busy ? If for some stupid reason you like another team please list your reasons here & then I'll make plans to visit you while you sleep !!!!!

I don't care much about hockey but would like to see columbus do well, just because I am from Ohio. Otherwise I typically root for the underdogs.

The Wings do their training camp here in TC every year, this year they brought the cup. Charlie was not up to the two hour line for pics with the cup, so this is all we got. By the way I've talked to the little guy and he says he's ready for your best punch.

Hockey....is that considered a "stick and ball" sport?
...and is the relation of Hockey Players wearing helmets like Snowboarders wearing helmets? What are they trying to protect??

yeah, support a team that was stolen from a true hockey town

I do hope the Bluejackets can make something happen this season, they've got the personnel and coach to do accomplish a lot.

I won't be making many friends in Colorado from this but... I really don't like that Avalanche

I've given up on the leafs years ago. Go Sens!

Someone at my mom's work gave her free tickets to the Panthers' home opener tomorrow night against Atlanta. Second hockey game of my life, I'm excited. I never paid attention to it at all until last season since I used to watch basketball in the winter, but since the Heat sucked so bad, we flipped over to hockey now my family is really into it

I don't necessarily have a favourite team. I just enjoy watching the game. Much more exciting than football, and though they exist in the sport, there are much fewer overpaid prima donnas than in basketball.

We just won our opening game last night against Boston. 4-3. I am an absolutely huge hockey fan. Love the wild and glad that we have a team again! We have had season tickets from day 1 at the Excel Energy Center, and the seats are great: 8th row, directly behind home goal. Perfect view of absolutely everything. I really enjoy how energetic the sport is overall. I'm not really a football fan because the Vikings suck. Basketball bores me to death and the T-wolves are nothing to brag about either. My other favorite sport would have to baseball. Can't wait for our new Twins stadium!! :)

sure, you have a team again, but if it wasnt for greedy owners, maybe the 'North Stars' would still be in MN and not Texas. I think only cities that can produce ice long enough for a rink, should get hockey. New Twins stadium??, what, the dome is falling down? Im sure you're folks along with mine can help fund the ??? million dollar stadium. Hey, maybe itll cost a Billion like the new Yankee stadium, so you can go pay $50 to watch guys who make $10,000's a pitch, play ball. I don't have time to watch any professional sports, or care to, but i'll vote for the Wings, just because they are about the best thing going on here in Michigan.

'Go you hairy Canucks!'

About time a team from the Northwest gets into the postseason (and yes, I remember that the 'hawks got to the Super bowl, but that was a fluke in my book).
