Kirkwood today (3-14-04)

I got all the lifts but 9, so i will post some pictures of them in no real order. Enjoy :D


Starting off with one of the strangest new combinations ive ever seen. Poma came in the summer and did some work on chair 11. They redid all assemblies as well as chair hanger arms and the grips. Here is a Poma assembly on a yan tower.

Here is the top of 11, a typical yan return terminal. Cameron said the entire chair appeared to be poma, but here you can see it is a yan carrier.

Chairs 10 and 11 at the base village. Chair 11 also recieved a new coat of paint during the summer with its poma upgrades.

Chair 4, a 1998 CTEC fg quad. Besides the funitel last april, this was the windiest chair ive ridden; 2 seasons ago.

A shot dow chair 4. On the combination assemblies, instead of coil springs, it has the marshmellow springs used in the yan hsq grips

The top of The Wall (10). This lift has what i think are the coolest breakovers i have seen. Those sheaves are probably twice as big as any regular sheave you have seen.

Now these are for sure the largest sheave wheels ever. Compare the wheel size to the tower.

how's the snow there?

Its decent. There is plenty of snow mid-mountain, but its kinda thin up top and down at the bottom of 7. Theve recieved almost 500 inches on the season, so they have a nice base. Everything was pretty slushy as it was probably in the mid-60s yesterday. I just hope it cools down and we get another storm....
