Hi everyone. I'm Nick and I have been a lift-aholic for 20 years.

Umm..short rundown. First, my girlfriend is going to give me heck for joining yet another forum (others are trucks, motorcycles, etc.).

I am 27, live in Parker, Colorado. I used to ski but don't anymore. I still love lifts and the technology behind them. Still learning about the new funitels and funifors and how they all work. Doppelmayr has sent me about 5 installation catalogs

I will be sure to read some topics before asking stupid questions that have been asked a billion times before.

P.S.-Anyone work at Vail or Keystone and want to give me an inner-workings tour of their gondola? :w00t:

Nick

I have pics of inside the Vail gondola, if you're curious to see them. Can't show you around them though. I don't work there!

I'm interested in seeing Vail gondola pictures too... Anyway you can post them onto Chairliftinfo.com?

I haven't had the chance to write the pages for those pictures yet. Here's a download link for anyone interested in seeing the vault room and controls of the Eagle Bahn Gondola at Vail: http://www.chairlift.../eagle_bahn.zip

It's not a sexy new gondola, but if you want I can give you a tour of one of the original detachables this winter- the Flyer at Copper. 22 years old and still kicking (and biting and scratching, but that's another story altogether).

Hey, that sounds good!

One of my motorcycle buddies is a groomer/equip. operator at Keystone. He is going to give me the tour of the new gondola and parking garage at Keystone in a few weeks! :)
